Historian Friends of the Pilgrims Pilgrim Passengers |
The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of North Carolina is a family organization. It is one of only a few hereditary societies which admit men, women, and children to membership. Strong family ties were responsible for the survival of the Mayflower Pilgrims and for their descendants. Some of our family members in our Society are unable to establish genealogical eligibility in our Society, but they are vitally important to our membership. Spouses, parents, grandparents, step-children, adopted children and half siblings are all part of the Mayflower heritage. Members of our Society can now recognize these family members by making them Friends of the Pilgrims for a fee of only $15.00 which includes $5.00 for a pin, and $10.00 every year thereafter.* Members of the Friends of the Pilgrims will receive a beautiful Friends of the Pilgrims pin. Friends of the Pilgrims are recognized in the Tar Heel Pilgrim Newsletter and, if he or she does not reside with a present member, may receive State Society's mailings. Fees to the Friends of the Pilgrims will be used to benefit projects of our State Society.
